Our client is a newly set up full-service aircraft leasing and asset management company with global operations aiming to build a portfolio of young mid-life narrowbody and widebody commercial aircraft.  The management team behind the business have developed extensive relationships in the global airline community by leasing aircraft to over 100 airline customers globally and executing more than 600 aircraft transactions valued at over $20 billion.

Having opened its’ Dublin office in January 2020 they have an aggressive hiring plan to build out a fully functional office with the core leasing functions to provide leasing solutions globally to commercial airlines seeking to lease young mid-life Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The company also has a US office where it acts as servicer on behalf of three securitizations.

With the closing of its’ first two aircraft funds anchored with a $300M equity commitment they are seeking a senior technical professional to operate as the number 2 in the technical department.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Technical, the Technical VP/Director will be responsible for managing new to mid-life Boeing & Airbus equipment in addition to engines of varying types. Asset management and project management are crucial skills as you will be a focal point for technical enquiries for global airline customers.


  • Negotiation and management of aircraft lease transactions from a technical aspect
  • Responsible for managing aircraft acquisition, aircraft integration & aircraft returns for Boeing & Airbus equipment including:
  • Ensuring adherence with lease delivery/return conditions
  • Negotiating maintenance reserve rates & financial adjustments
  • Annual aircraft surveillance

The Person

Our preferred candidate will have at least 5+ years of technical experience working for a leasing company or airline, in a fleet/asset management type role. With working knowledge of the airframe the candidate must also have an in-depth knowledge of major engines types (CFM, PW, RR, GE): a working knowledge of OEM power by hour programs is a plus.

The candidate will have prior experience managing technical personnel on a leased aircraft delivery or return, in addition to strong quantitative analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, in addition, the flexibility to undertake simultaneously a variety of duties and additional responsibilities is important.

With a successful track record the candidate will ideally be degree educated, in a related area of study such as Aviation (Technology, Science, or Maintenance Management), or Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical) and an A&P license would be a plus.

This position is based in Dublin and will be expected to travel a fair amount.

Our client is offering a highly competitive remuneration package. This anticipated remuneration reflects the Company’s estimates of what would be necessary to attract someone with the required qualifications but will be fine-tuned based on the qualifications and experience of any specific candidate.
